2011 Healthcare Reform Regulations

Effective January 1st, all new Health Insurance policies will be required to provide the following benefits:

  1. Elimination of Annual and Lifetime coverage limits for essential benefits.
  2. Preventive Care, including Routine Physical Exams, Mammograms, Pap Smear, PSA, Colorectal Screenings and Immunizations must be covered at 100% with no Co-pay or Co-insurance.
  3. Adult Children can be covered under a parents policy to Age 26, if they are not offered coverage through their employer.
  4. Over-the-counter Rx are no longer deductible from HSA or FSA accounts, unless prescribed by a Doctor.
  5. Medicare beneficiaries will receive a 50% discount on brand name Rx in the Donut Hole gap.
